Today is World Environment Day. I am climbing in New York, as a
peaceful way to create support for far greater and urgent action
from world leaders on global warming. Emissions are still
climbing. So am I. But, just like my six year old friend Dylan
taught me in London, The Solution Is Simple:

1 – Stop Cutting Down Trees. Plant More Trees.
2 – Make Everything Energy Efficient.
3 – Only Make Clean Energy.

The cost of action is no argument. The cost of acting now is far
less than the cost of acting too late. But the time for action is
running out, fast.

World leaders know this, but are still not acting fast or brave
enough. Last year, in Bali, they agreed to NO emissions reduction
target and two years of more talk.

But world leaders are changing. America's next President could
help lead the way. There's reason for hope.

We urgently need a global agreement for at least a 50% cut in
emissions, based on latest science telling us that 350 is the
only safe level of CO2 in the atmosphere.

World leaders meet again next month at the G8 conference in
